Bukowski Bears are made by the Swedish family owned business, Bukowski Design AB, started in 1990 and going strong ever since. The company designs and manufactures the highest quality teddy bears and soft plush toys to customers all around the world - all products being made of completely new, non-recycled materials.

Teddy Bear Friends are delighted to be Bukowski Bears main stockist in the UK - selling the brand since 2006.

The success of Bukowski teddy bears is built upon their unique design and the imaginative thought process that goes into every product. Barbara Bukowski, who started the business designing teddy bears and rabbits to both of her sons, initially took inspiration from older English designs plus German models designed by Margarete Steiff.

These days, each teddy bear is actually based on a real human being which makes them all that much more lifelike! There is additional information available on the label attached to the product at purchase where you can find out how it came to life and what its name is.

As you would expect from one of the leading producers of soft toys in Scandinavia, all Bukowski products live up to the CE regulations according to the testing method EN 71-1/2 - each has a sewn in CE label where you can find washing instructions and contact information if you would have any questions regarding your product. All products are washable in 30 degrees handwash and are flameproof. If your product has plastic eyes they are double-locked, making it near impossible to drag them out - especially for a child.
